At mountain biking’s World championships in Italy’s Val di Sole, the «Multivan Merida Biking Team» scored three top10 finishes and a bronze medal. Switzerland’s Ralph Näf managed to perform under the pressure of being one of the favourites, catching the bronze medal after an incredible catch-up race.

Merida: At the mountainbike world championship in Val di Sole (Italy) Austrian Robert Gehbauer shows up with a strong race in the U23 category. He becomes 10th in race on a very high level won by worldcup leader Nino Schurter. Gehbauer had been suffering from an intestinal infection for some weeks and with his 10th place he feel confirmed to be on the right way back.

Merida: Tough luck and strong performances from Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå and José Hermida in Fort William! At Fort William’s mountain biking worldcup only a lot of tough luck kept José Hermida and Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå from scoring top finishes. Dahle Flesjå lost a brake lever in the first lap of her race, while José Hermida suffered a flat as he made part of a lead group early on in the race. Ralph Näf could not compete due to an illness, while Moritz Milatz and Robert Gehbauer could not match their usual level of performance.

Merida: At Andorra’s crosscountry Worldcup race, the pecking order in the men’s field got mixed up completely. Though the race was won by Christoph Sauser, one of the top favourites, he was trailed by Burry Stander and Geoff Kabush, two riders who were not expected to show such a strong performance. The «Multivan Merida Biking Team» on the other hand was facing some tough luck.

MERIDA: Swiss Ralph Näf dominated at the Swisspower Cup in Gränichen (SUI) and won the race in a superior style in front of Martin Gujan and Lukas Flückiger. It is Näfs first victory after a unlucky start in the season and he looks now very optimistic towards to coming up world cup races in Andorra and Scotland.

Merida: At Offenburg’s Worldcup race, bad luck was all that the Multivan Merida Biking Team was getting. Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå, Nina Wrobel and Ralph Näf all had to abandon their races due to health problems, and Robert Gehbauer decided not to start at all for the same reason.

Merida: At the mountain biking Worldcup race in Houffalize, Belgium, Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå gets back in touch with the world’s elite. After an extremely long, illness-related absence from competitions, she finished in sixth position at her comeback race after even having ridden in second position for a while.
